In recognition of Oncology Nursing Month, our Chaplaincy Department brought their Tea for the Soul treat cart to our 7th floor oncology inpatient unit, and Phoebe Talent Acquisition Partner Sarah Herring – who is also a yoga instructor – led chair yoga sessions for our oncology nurses. “It’s tough for them to slow down,” Sarah said. “Yoga helps you become more thoughtful about your day and what causes you stress. It helps you realize what’s important and become more mindful about what you're doing and why you’re doing it.” We thank all the Phoebe nurses who serve our cancer patients, and we hope you can find some time today to focus on your own wellbeing.

We are fortunate to have a group of devoted community members serve on our Emergency Center Patient & Family Advisory Council. Each member has experience in our ER as a patient or loved one of a patient, and we meet with them regularly to seek advice on how to improve our service in the ER. This week, the council members toured the Phoebe Trauma & Critical Care Tower and were excited to see what is in store for our patients, visitors and staff when we move into our new Emergency & Trauma Center later this year.
