Curious about ASIST training but not sure what it is? ASIST, or Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, is a 2-day course designed to teach verbal First Aid skills to adults who may encounter someone experiencing thoughts of suicide. The training provides an introduction to the most widely used Suicide Intervention Model in the world, which can be applied in any situation where help is needed. ASIST equips individuals with the skills to offer support, promote life, and practice self-care in suicide prevention efforts. Participants will learn how to effectively apply a suicide intervention model and connect individuals in crisis with community resources for ongoing support. Register for our FREE ASIST training on June 11 & 12 at the Glencoe City Center - only a few spots remain! May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and last night 2B CONTINUED was featured on Boyd Huppert's Land of 10,000 Stories on KARE11 news. The segment shone a light on the National Council for Mental Wellbeing's teen Mental Health First Aid school program we teach in 16 schools and featured Lester Praire and Sibley East Schools, as well as our instructor, Melissa Berget. This was an amazing opportunity for us to share our mission and the vital work we do in our community, and all of us at 2B CONTINUED are incredibly grateful! In case you missed it, the segment is available to rewatch online. Click on the video below: https://lnkd.in/gV8VBbBS
