The Chris Thompson Memorial Golf Tournament is an annual golf tournament with it’s goal to consistently raise funds, year after year, to help support the Mira Mesa High School football program. The tournament started in 2019 with the deliberate objective of creating an ongoing tradition of supporting the founders high school alma mater, MMHS, via a high quality, top notch tournament at some of San Diego county’s most exclusive golf courses.

Our goal as the Mira Mesa High School Alumni Association is to facilitate interaction between all MMHS alumni, the active body and the community of Mira Mesa. The MMHS Alumni Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that holds a minimum of four (4) annual events, provides financial support to Mira Mesa High School, offers scholarships to graduating students, and makes donations to various teams, student organizations and Mira Mesa community projects.

Hancock Hangoutz is a regularly scheduled informational event held throughout various communities in San Diego for the sole purpose of discovering and supporting local establishments and meeting our friends and neighbors in an open, friendly and welcoming environment. Our goal is to help bring neighbors together to mingle, introduce them to various local businesses within their area, and help support the local establishments and various community causes.

During the holiday season, it can be difficult for families to provide toys and food without sufficient funds and resources. This is true now more than ever with the impact of COVID-19 throughout the last year and a half.

During the holiday season, it can be difficult for families to provide toys and food without sufficient funds and resources. This is true now more than ever with the impact of COVID-19 throughout the last year and a half.


In the past 24 years, over 200,100 San Diego children and their families have experienced the hope of the Christmas season in a unique way at the annual Toys for Joy event where they receive free toys, groceries, and more. Just in the last year, 17,390 people were served by 1,434 volunteers where 111,000 lbs of groceries and over 18,000 toys were distributed. Rock Church, together with schools, businesses, local churches, and community organizations partner to host the event each year.

We are also the primary provider of blood to Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego. We are the safety net for our regional blood needs. Every year, more than 120,000 units of blood provided by the San Diego Blood Bank are transfused into patients of all ages, socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds throughout San Diego County.
