Sidney Post 217’s Trenton Laughman slides home as Piqua Post 184’s Ethan Dienhart attempts to tag him during an American Legion baseball game on Tuesday at Custenborder Field. Sidney scored 10 runs in the first inning and won 13-2. Sidney scored its runs in the first inning off five walks, three hits, a hit batter and an error. The squad had eight hits, drew five walks and had two batters hit by a pitch. Piqua had four hits. It was the second game of the season for Sidney, which improved to 2-0. The squad is scheduled to compete in the Veterans Memorial Tournament in Troy this weekend.
