Our Raleigh Division recently held a special event at a local high school, aimed at ushering more talent into the industry. The school has a robust construction department that participates in division, regional and national tournaments. In 2023, the all-girl team took home first place in building. The school's construction teacher, Mr. Collins, shared “This story illustrates the kind of partnership and outreach that has the potential to be life changing for our students.” Next up, the team is planning an on-site field trip to our Bridgeberry community for students to gain experience in new-home construction. #ThisisTMLiving

Earlier today, team members from around the country attended our monthly Days of Understanding led by Dr. Nancy S. Kaplan, Ed.D and Lamar Lee. This week’s session was centered around inclusive leadership, to help team members identify the traits necessary to include, motivate and inspire others. Because of sessions like these, we’ve seen our DEIB metrics improve over the last year. Based on 349 anonymous employee ratings, our workplace was rated 4.5 out of five stars on Glassdoor when it comes to employees feeling included, heard and offered the same opportunities. This is 26.8 percent higher than the average for ratings in the Construction, Repair and Maintenance Services sector. We are proud of our progress and remain committed to fostering a workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered. #ThisisTMLiving

Our Orlando Division recently joined forces with Taylor Morrison Home Funding and our vendor partners to support the Best Buddies Friendship Walk at Lake Eola. Over 30 team members signed up to walk—raising $4,790 in support of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  We are so proud of this team for championing social inclusion within the community. ❤️ #ThisisTMLiving

In honor of Mother’s Day, we’re featuring a mother-daughter duo who work in our Sarasota Division. Sr. Warranty Coordinator Sandy Burns and her daughter, Community Starts Lead Sara Burns, both live in Taylor Morrison’s Artisan Lakes community, three blocks away from each other. At work, the Burns’ sit just a cubicle apart in the division office and often get together for lunch. “I feel so lucky to have Sara a few feet away every day. It’s so special that she works for TM.” On being a mom, Sandy shared, “It’s the best thing that ever happened to me. You don’t know that kind of love until you become a mother. I would not be who I was if I didn’t have them.” Wishing a very Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing moms and everyone who steps up to fill this special role. #ThisisTMLiving
