More than 95 women emergency managers from around #MA representing federal, state, and local agencies, nonprofit organizations, higher education, healthcare, transportation, and the private and energy sectors participated in the first Massachusetts Women in Emergency Management meeting. The quarterly series hosted by the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) and Massachusetts Department of Public Health's Office of Preparedness and Emergency Management (OPEM) featured a diverse group of speakers and panelists with decades of combined #EM experience. The conversations were informative, insightful, and empowering. “I’m thrilled at the turnout for our first meeting. This is truly a testament to how many women are working in the field and want to embrace and learn from the valuable lessons, triumphs, and innovative solutions of their peers," said MEMA Director Dawn Brantley. Details on the August meeting will be posted on MEMA's social media channels.
