Measuring biological age, which reflects how our cells are aging, can be useful information as we age. And it may not always match with the number of candles on the birthday cake. How can we measure biological age, and how should people interpret the number they see? To what extent is healthy aging within our control and what lifestyle changes can we make to support our healthy aging journey? Join the June 13 LinkedIn Live science talk: “Age is more than just a number – the impact of lifestyle on cellular aging” to explore what we can learn from the current state of science on aging and longevity. 📌 Follow the event here to be notified when it starts: https://bit.ly/3KwAMpD

By 2050 climate change is expected to reduce farmers' harvests by 17% and arable land by up to 20%, posing significant challenges as extreme weather increases and pests develop resistance to the limited crop protection solutions available. At #TeamBayer, we're rising to meet these challenges with our breakthrough innovative approach to Crop Protection R&D, #CropKey. This approach uses the latest advances in biology, chemistry, and #AI to identify target proteins in pests (think of these as locks) with unprecedented speed and precision. Through virtual screening and computational modeling, we are then able to design entirely new crop protection solutions (the keys) according to predefined safety and sustainability criteria — empowering farmers with new solutions to protect their crops and safeguard their harvests. #HealthForAll #HungerForNone

    CEO at Bayer Nordic Region

This week, we were super happy to host Bayer’s CEO Bill Anderson and highlight the unique opportunities for collaboration and co-creation with customers in the region. According to surveys, we are the happiest nations in the world so there were big smiles and laughter all around when introducing our core operations. We focused on spotlighting the Nordic commitment to innovation, digital progress, and sustainability, which are perfectly aligned with our core values. Bill's journey took a flying start in Oslo, where he met #teamBayer scientists to learn about our leading-edge radiopharmaceutical production, research, and development. With great pride, our talents showcased the global center of excellence for radiopharmaceuticals. Next stop for Bill’s Nordic tour was Solna, the home for the Karolinska University Hospital which is one of the world’s most renowned hospitals. The visit to Karolinska with our radiology team shows Bayer’s ongoing commitment to healthcare innovation and how our products play an important role in advancing radiological practices and improving patient care. At the Solna office #teamBayer colleagues from the region offered Bill a deep dive into Nordics as a mini-Bayer, where innovation and sustainability go hand in hand. We emphasized our commitment to sustainable growth which resonates strongly in the Nordics in all business areas and aligns with the high expectations of our customers. We love to show off what can be achieved when you combine innovative mindset with a can do attitude, driving progress in health and nutrition. For #teamBayer, Bill’s visit was more than just a chance to connect and share insights—it was a celebration of our shared mission for the future. #heathforall #hungerfornone Thank you for everybody involved in organizing the visit! Welcome back to the Nordics, Bill! #Innovation #LifeSciences #NordicRegion

Aging affects us all, but how our bodies age at the cellular level is unique to each individual. As we journey through life, we experience two types of aging: chronological and cellular or biological. While chronological aging counts the years we’ve lived, biological aging reveals a deeper story of our cells and how they are aging. Join us for an in-depth exploration into the science of healthy aging at our LinkedIn Live event on June 13th at 4 PM CET / 10 AM ET: “Age is more than just a number – the impact of lifestyle on cellular aging”. The speakers of the session will discuss understanding and assessing biological age, factors that can influence it, and how to interpret these metrics. 👉 Follow the event here to be notified when it starts: https://bit.ly/3KwAMpD

Aging affects us all, but how our bodies age at the cellular level is unique to each individual. As we grow older, we experience two types of aging: chronological and cellular or biological. While chronological aging marks the passage of time, biological aging extends our understanding a step further, providing insight into how we're aging on the inside. • Why do people age differently at the cellular level? • What are key factors and how much do genetics play a role? • In what ways do things like nutrition and lifestyle impact cellular or biological aging? Join us for a LinkedIn Live science talk: “Age is more than just a number – the impact of lifestyle on cellular aging” on Thursday, June 13th, at 4 PM CET / 10 AM ET for a deeper dive into these and other questions. 🗓️ Mark your calendars!
