Street Sweeping Update
➡️ May 31, 2024
Street sweeping crews were able to complete all the areas highlighted in green on the map. However, not all areas highlighted yellow were able to be completed today. 'No Parking' signs will be removed for the weekend in all areas indicated on the map.
➡️ June 4, 2024
Street sweeping operations will continue, weather permitting, for all areas highlighted in yellow. 'No Parking' signs in these areas will be posted on Monday June 3, and will go into effect the morning of Tuesday, June 4.
When the 'No Parking' signs are in effect, we kindly ask that you help our crews and equipment move safely and quickly through these areas by moving your vehicles. Vehicles left on the streets can cause delays in completing the area.
Further updates will be provided on Monday, June 3.

Due to the weather, planned street sweeping along the route highlighted in yellow did not take place this morning.
With the improved conditions, street sweeping should resume this afternoon, weather permitting.
'No Parking' signs have been placed along the route, and we kindly ask that you help our crews and equipment move safely and quickly through these areas by moving your vehicles. Vehicles left on the streets can cause delays in completing the area.

Find out more at www.draytonvalley.ca/fire-services/Due to current and future forecasted weather conditions , the Drayton Valley/Brazeau County Fire Services Fire Restriction has been downgraded to a FIRE ADVISORY for all of Brazeau County and Town of Drayton Valley starting Thursday May 30, 2024 at 8 a.m. Outdoor burning is permitted only with a fire permit or in an approved fire pit or burning appliance. The FIRE ADVISORY will remain in effect until conditions improve.
The following fires are permitted:
Outdoor burning is permitted with an approved fire permit.
Internal household fire places
Incinerators (for farm and acreage use)
Burn barrel (steel/metal drum no larger than 45 gallons- for Agriculture lands)
Solid Fuel barbecues (charcoal briquettes)
Bylaw compliant backyard and camping fires
Fires contained within approved facilities and appliances in designed camping and recreational areas
Portable propane fire pits and appliances

Street Sweeping Update

Crews were able to complete all the areas marked on the maps in green. However, they were unable to complete the areas marked in yellow. The 'No Parking' signs will remain in place overnight. Parking on the street is allowed overnight as long as vehicles are moved by 7:30 a.m on May 30.

Street Sweeping Update
➡️ May 28, 2024
Areas marked on the attached map in green were completed today. We were unable to complete the areas marked in orange, however, we will be adding it to tomorrow's schedule (for completion on May 29). We will be leaving the 'No Parking' signs in place on the orange streets overnight. Please have your vehicles moved by 7:30 a.m. on May 29 so that our crews can finish up the area.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FROM Alberta Health Services
The Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Centre Emergency Department (ED) will be temporarily without physician coverage from midnight on Monday, May 27 until 8:00 am on Tuesday, May 28.
Nursing staff will remain on-site in the ED to assess any patients who may present to the site, and to redirect them to alternate care options depending on their needs.
During this temporary closure patients are asked to call 911 if they have a medical emergency. Residents are reminded to call Health Link at 811, which is available 24/7 for non-emergency health-related questions.
