This week, Prince Rupert Port Authority welcomed 15 high school students from across northern B.C.to participate in Adventures in the Port of Prince Rupert, a Prince Rupert Rotary and Community Futures Prince Rupert initiative supported by PRPA. Each day, students gathered at the Port Interpretive Centre then headed out to tour local port related industries including SAAM Towage, Quick load Logistics, Trigon Pacific Terminals Limited, BC Ferries and the Canadian Coast Guard/Garde côtière canadienne, learning about the abundance of career, trade, apprenticeship, and education opportunities available in Prince Rupert. The facilities were viewed by land and ocean. It was a pleasure to host this event for the 8th time, fostering engagement and careers education for future generations in our community.
