Across Canada, Baker Tilly firms are committed to making a positive and lasting impact – going all in now, to get the best out of tomorrow. In this spirit, here’s what some of our member firms have been up to recently. Slide 1. Connecting globally. As part of a work exchange, Baker Tilly Catalyst hosted Daniel Park from Pitcher Partners, a Baker Tilly firm in Australia, over the past several months. In July, Baker Tilly Catalyst manager Shannon McIntosh will be off to Australia for a work placement abroad. Slide 2. Running strong. The Maritime spirit was in full display as Baker Tilly Nova Scotia team members shrugged off the drizzle and hit the streets of Halifax and Dartmouth for the 2024 Emera Bluenose Marathon – Killam Marathon Team Relay event. Slide 3. Taking care. Baker Tilly Ottawa was the 5K Rest Stop Sponsor at the Hike for Hospice Care Ottawa. Team members and their families cheered on participants and handed out refreshments and snacks. Ultimately, the event raised more than $217,000 to help fund Hospice Care Ottawa services. Slide 4. Listening, learning and laughing. The Baker Tilly Canada Collaboration Summit 2024 welcomed leaders and team members spanning areas such as technology, people and culture, and marketing from across our network for two days of presentations, discussions and, of course, some fun. Slide 5. Stepping up. Baker Tilly Nova Scotia partner Greg Leslie was named the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Atlantic Volunteer of the Year, recognizing his many years of dedication and leadership at STEP Atlantic and STEP Canada. Slide 6. Nourishing hearts. Wanting to make a meaningful difference, Baker Tilly WM partners and team members recently volunteered at The Dugout, a vital community organization in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, where they helped serve up hot meals – and hope – to those most in need. Slide 7. Celebrating success. Baker Tilly Nova Scotia enjoyed a little downtime at its Tax Party, marking the conclusion of another successful tax season. Held at the iconic Halifax club Pacifico, the event gave team members a chance to mingle, sip cocktails and listen to great music. #BakerTilly #BakerTillyCanada #BakerTillyCatalyst #BakerTillyNovaScotia #BakerTillyOttawa #BakerTillyWM #BeTrue #Community #Culture
