Due to the disrespect, abuse, and general bad behaviour that we have experienced an increasing amount of over the past years with U-Pick, we have been apprehensive about opening the fields. But we do have some extra berries to be picked, so we are going to start up strawberry U-Pick from 9am-noon.
We are starting with an older patch with average-sized berries, and there won't be assigned rows or wagon rides.
Pre-payment for your baskets is required before entering the patch, and there is a minimum purchase of one 4L basket ($18) per 2 people. 2L baskets ($9) are also available for children.
Full guidelines are posted on our website. And please be respectful of our staff and our property!U-Pick Strawberries - Millar Berry Farms
Please note that we are not an entertainment farm. We do not offer tours, sightseeing, wagons rides, activities for children, etc. Please do not overfill your baskets. You should be able to easily carry it without berries spilling off. We will not be weighing containers and berries. The price is per...1 day ago Sonia Greig 6
I'm so sorry to hear this. When my children were little, it was the highlight of the year to go to your farm, ride the wagon into the field and pick berries. Sad that this is what our world has come to.1 day ago Cathy Freebairn 1
Sonia Greig same for our family. Good times and good memories. I hope that a few bad apples aren’t going to spoil it for everybody to have these wonderful family times and memories together.20 hours ago Millar Berry Farms 1
Sonia Greig, u-pick used to be fun for us as well, not so much anymore.1 day ago Cassie Morris 10
The fact that you even had to post this makes me sad, frustrated and very disappointed. I'm sorry this has happened, and I hope a few bad apples don't deter you from inviting families onto your property to enjoy your delicious produce! We can't wait to come out and support you this year! <31 day ago Sue LeBlanc 9
I am sorry to hear you have been experiencing poor behavior from customers. How disappointing. Our family has always had a great time at your farm. Your strawberries have made my jam historic for all those who received a jar for the last 20 + years ❤️🍓
Keep up your good work1 day ago Sherry Lynn 8
Just horrible that you have to experience this with berry picking!!! What ever is wrong with people!1 day ago Bear Collie
Sherry Lynn these types of people destroy farms and destroy nature. Best these farms have reservations and not allow drop-ins anymore. Gate and close the fields. Remember your Prime Minister is making life inbearable so we starve and taxing farms to shut down.1 day ago Sharon Blizzard Desserud 7
How disheartening!! Strawberry picking was always a family experience when I was growing up in NS and then here at Millars when my girls were little. It can be such a wonderful experience!19 hours ago Doreen Creutz 1
So excited! This has been a family tradition for us for 18 years. I am sorry you dealt with disrespect and poor behaviour. Personally, I cannot tell you how happy I am you the U-Pick is back ❤️18 hours ago Carmen Francis Yuzpe 3

Should have a good supply of berries today, as long as the rain holds off.1 week ago Helaina Giesbrecht
Are you still buying them in Leamington and reselling at your stand?1 week ago Millar Berry Farms
Helaina Giesbrecht The first pick from our fields was June 3. We brought some in prior to our own being ready as a favour for some customers, but our margin on those was 0, so we won't be doing that while we have our own. -

We've got in some beautiful berries today.1 week ago GI Peck
Why is your asparagus so tall this year? There is so much wastage cutting off the bottom 3-4 inches as its not edible.1 week ago Millar Berry Farms
GI Peck it grows a lot when it's hot! Maybe some of my young staff neglected to break the ends off .1 week ago GI Peck
Millar Berry Farms yes I think so. I had to throw away so much. It never used to be like this and its very tough and chewy.1 week ago GI Peck
Stan MacKenzie nope, its not so I dont have to. What Im saying is the ends are about 3-4 inches that you cant eat so you have to cut them off and throw it away. IMO, thats not right. Why sell these tough ends, some you can barely cut, to people when they should be cut off before being sold. They cant be eaten but they make up for the weight. It was never like this other years -

Our sympathy for such disrespect from people. I feel for you. We have debated but fear this exact thing happening. They have no idea how hard growers work to grow these magnificent little gems. Sincerely a fellow grower.
