Nation Coordinator

The purpose of this contract opportunity is to coordinate the process required to develop an Algonquin Nation Unity Agreement. The creation and implementation of this agreement will help us put in place the decision making and governance processes needed to collaborate on large projects and economic opportunities such as those in infrastructure, forestry, hydro and mine-related activity. The process is intended to utilize a few separate workshops involving representatives from each participating community's elders, youth, women and land-user/trapper groups to establish principles relating to how communities can work together. Each community's Chief & Council will oversee the process and involve the broader community though general assemblies at various milestones throughout the process.
