Exhibitions & Events
The annual exhibition of works by K–12 students from the School District of Washburn returns from Saturday, May 4, to Thursday, May 23. Student artists have been guided by teachers Chelsea Meredith (K–6) and Kristin Tetzner (7–12). The Washburn School District Student Show will be open Wednesdays to Saturdays from 12pm–5pm and Sundays from 12pm–4pm.
Artists, families, and friends are invited to attend the exhibition’s Opening Reception on Tuesday, May 7, from 5pm–7pm.

The Plein Air of Washburn Festival (PAW Fest) returns this June 6–8, 2024 for its third annual outing in Washburn, Wisconsin!
PAW Fest is open to the public, free to attend, and welcomes aspiring artists, practicing artists new to outdoor painting, experienced plein air artists, and guests. Featuring outdoor demonstrations and open-air painting sessions in various local landscapes, PAW Fest is a non-competitive and community-building painting festival that welcomes artists of all levels to learn, collaborate, and share their plein air experiences and knowledges. Participants will express their appreciation for the Chequamegon Bay’s natural topographies and built environments through outdoor painting.

The Monday Night Life Drawing Group is currently looking for models for non-instructional life drawing sessions. Individuals with all body types are encouraged and invited to participate. All models will be paid for their time and talent and must be available on Mondays from 6:30pm–9pm at the Washburn Cultural Center. The group values models’ input and allows models’ interests and input to influence the session theme each week. Click below for more details and contact information.
WCC has expanded its business hours in March. On Wednesdays—Sundays from 12pm–4pm in April, visit WCC to browse CBAC’s annual spring exhibition Let ‘R Rip; shop discounted antiques at 30% off; and shop records, CDs, and Vinyl Vault sound equipment at 10% off (all discounts taken at register).
Join the Monday Night Life Drawing Group tomorrow evening, April 29, from 6:30pm–9pm on WCC’s third floor. This week’s theme/model is nude figure study poses with Bailey. Please arrive early through WCC’s back entrance, as doors will close shortly after 6:30pm for security and privacy.
