Why Gathering Waters?

At Gathering Waters, we honor the unique gifts and talents of each individual child. Our faculty and staff guide each student to discover their interests and capabilities; explore the surrounding world; and cultivate a lifelong love of learning, a sense of community responsibility and an understanding of environmental sustainability. In this rich environment, our students develop a healthy relationship with the world, and the confidence and creativity to contribute to it.

Between our two campuses runs a branch of the Ashuelot (ash-wee-luht) river--named by the Indigenous people of the region (the Abenaki)-- and means, “a collection of many waters.”

And that’s what Gathering Waters Chartered Public School (GWCPS) is: a collection of students and families from different backgrounds coming together to form a strong school community that strives to honor and nurture the unique gifts of each child.

What is Waldorf Education?

Waldorf education was first established in 1919 in Europe and has subsequently been adopted in schools around the world. Waldorf Education fosters the development of the whole child. The curriculum is based on the emotional, social, psychological, cognitive and physical development and is a truly comprehensive balance of academic, practical, and artistic activities. Each day includes activities for the body, hands, heart, and the mind.

Support Gathering Waters

As a chartered public school, Gathering Waters receives funding from the State of New Hampshire each year.

However, we rely on the generosity of our community to help us sustain the broad scope of our rich education and to meet our budgeted needs.

If you are able, please consider a donation. Thank you!
