 History

In 1992, the closure of the Eau Claire Uniroyal Factory marked a somber period for both its workforce and the surrounding community. Entrepreneurs Bill Cigan and Jack Kaiser took over the facility, providing space for a diverse array of businesses, artists, and residents. Among these occupants were Laurie Bieze, founder of Beize Sculpture, and Adam Fuller, proprietor of Fuller Flameworks, who envisioned a platform to showcase the vibrancy of Building 13.

Together, Bieze and Fuller pioneered the inaugural Art Crawl, offering local artists a venue to exhibit, sell, and demonstrate their creations. Since its inception, this event has drawn thousands of visitors to experience the free, engaging, and creatively charged mid-winter affair.

The Banbury Art Crawl is a cherished event, celebrating the rich tapestry of arts and business in our community. Since 2008, artists have showcased an array of offerings including paintings, pottery, sculpture, stained glass, jewelry, woodworking, photography, and much more. Anticipate exploring the creations of over a hundred artists and vendors.
