Baptist Health Floyd surgeons currently utilize two da Vinci robots used for general surgeries:
- Globus ExcelsiusGPS, used for neurosurgery
- CORI and Rosa robots, used in orthopedic surgeries and in aquablation procedures to treat Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH)
More about the CORI and ROSA Robotic System
Baptist Health Floyd is utilizing two orthopedic robotic systems, the CORI and ROSA. Both robotic systems are used in total and partial knee replacement surgery. They also allow the surgeon to be more accurate and efficient, which leads to quicker recovery.
What is Aquablation Therapy?
Aquablation therapy is now being offered at Baptist Health Floyd. The procedure is used to treat men who suffer from Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), also known as an enlarged prostate.
What makes the Aquablation method so unique is the surgeon uses waterjet technology delivered with robotic precision, which reduces the risk for incontinence and sexual side effects that are associated with traditional BPH procedures.
