St. Ann’s “Walk the Opeongo Line” Pilgrimage is another approach to the journey to St. Ann’s Shrine.
Begun in 2016, “Walk the Opeongo Line” is a 4 day, 67km walking pilgrimage from Our Lady of Fatima, Renfrew to St. Ann, Cormac. This pilgrimage follows part of the historic Opeongo Road, which opened the way for settlers to enter the Upper Ottawa Valley in the mid-1800s.
This walking pilgrimage is an excellent opportunity to step away from the noise of the world, get to know new people, pray, do penance, experience the beauty of the Opeongo Line, and many other unique blessings that Our Lord bestows upon His pilgrims. The pilgrimage begins July 25th and ends on July 28st with Mass at St. Ann’s shrine.
