The County of Elgin raised a black flag in front of the Elgin County Heritage Centre to observe the National Day of Mourning. April 28th is a day to honor workers who have lost their lives, been injured, or suffered illnesses due to workplace incidents or exposures.

Stantec Consulting Limited, on behalf of the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO), has scheduled a foundation field investigation for Kettle Creek from April 25th to April 29th, 2024. To accommodate the mobilization and demobilization of the drill rig, full nighttime closures on Highway 3 between Wellington Road and Centennial Avenue will be required.
