JOB DESCRIPTION: PT ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Administrative Assistant will assist all Monroe County Health Council and Monroe County Prevention & Wellness Coalition staff members for the purpose of achieving program goals, remaining within grant compliance, furthering the mission of the agency, and agency growth.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
· Bookkeeping and basic daily accounting
· Scheduling and secretarial/office work to include but not limited to filing, organizing, inventory, ordering, etc.
· Outreach and communication
· Information distribution
· Research
· Data input
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Familiarity with the Monroe County communities and the ethnic culture of the population.
· Knowledge of local agencies’ programs, available services, local units of government, and grassroots organizations.
ABILITIES:
· Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Work effectively with agency staff, service providers, and law enforcement
· Work a flexible schedule, including occasional nights and weekends, and travel for training
· Clearly communicate ideas in both written and verbal form
· Understand the needs of project participants of diverse ethic, cultural, educational, and socioeconomic backgrounds
· Exercise judgment regarding information sharing, confidentiality, and human relations
· Operate a computer to enter data, maintain records, and generate reports (Windows & Microsoft Office)
· Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
· Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and scheduling tools (e.g., Microsoft Outlook or Google Calendar).
· Network effectively with various types of organizations
· Utilize social media platforms for program promotion, community education, and program awareness
· Assist with searching for, writing, and/or managing grant
· Preferred but not required: Spanish language proficiency for enhanced communication
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education
· High school graduate (minimum)
· Associate degree or at least 2 years experience in grant management or program administration
Experience Preferred:
· At least two years volunteer or volunteer management experience with grant-funded program, non-profit agency, serving the underserved in a field such as social service, grassroots organizations, community advocacy, or youth intervention.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Valid driver’s license
At least two references
Completion of hiring screening
SCHEDULE:
Monday-Thursday 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Rate of Pay: $14450-($850 F/T/I)=$13600
$17 p/hour for up to 25 hours per week
