The Virginia Community Foundation

The Virginia Community Foundation is committed to building a better community. The Foundation has been working for more than 30 years to provide innovative ways for area residents and businesses to give back to their community. The Foundation’s endowment was established to provide a permanent resource to support programs and projects that create a lasting impact in the greater Virginia area.

Each year since 1991, contributions have increased the Foundation’s giving capacity. Over 1 million dollars has been awarded to schools, the city, and civic organizations. In addition, more than 3 million dollars has been raised to fund special projects.
