Parts of Medicare

Original Medicare

(Parts A and B) Original Medicare consists of Part A and Part B. Original Medicare only covers about 80 percent of most people’s medical expenses, and does not have an out-of-pocket maximum, leaving you exposed to unexpected out-of-pocket costs.

Medicare Advantage

Medicare Advantage offers you the benefits you need with the affordable coverage you deserve. These plans provide all of the benefits you are entitled to under Medicare—plus extra benefits, INCLUDING Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage. Medicare Advantage plans provide these benefits through a contract with the government, and are offered by companies like Blue Cross of Idaho Care Plus, Inc.
