The City of Medina has the following job openings:
POLICE OFFICER: The City of Medina is accepting applications for a full-time police officer who is service oriented, dedicated, and self-motivated. We are a small, busy, growing community, west of Minneapolis. We have a family atmosphere with great support from our City Council and community. We welcome both entry-level and experienced lateral candidates, women and minorities are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a full-time peace officer in the State of Minnesota by time of appointment.
We offer competitive wages of $36.96 to $47.84 per hour ($76,876-$99.507). We also offer a continuous service incentive of 3% at 10 years of service and 6% at 15 years of service added to the base pay.
Patrol Officers currently work 12-hour shifts which provides for a 5-day weekend every other week. Opportunities within the department also include possible assignments for General Investigations, Mobile Field Force (Hennepin County), West Metro Drug Task Force, Drug Recognition Officer (DRE), and Towards Zero Death Enforcement Traffic Enforcement. The City offers a great benefit package including 100% of the health insurance premium for full-time employees electing single coverage and up to $1,753 per month for family.
