Love Africa

A very special day indeed. I was in Ghana one time when it was being celebrated. Definitely very historic.

The Town of Drayton Valley will be flushing sanitary sewer mains in a few areas located in the southwest quadrant of Town (see attached maps).

Flushing mains shouldn't cause issues for anyone, but it can cause bubbling in toilets and can also drain the water out of the p-traps in your sink, shower, and floor drains.

Residents are advised to keep all toilet lids closed as a precaution, especially if you do not have a backflow preventer installed on your sewer line.

If you notice an unpleasant smell in your house, it is likely because your p-trap has been drained. A simple remedy to eliminate the smell is to pour some water down the drain and refill the trap. Flushing your toilet will often be sufficient to refill a p-trap as well.

Anyone with questions or concerns can call the Town at 780-514-2200.
