Our past

The original Speedie Lube was owned and operated by Steve Lewis, who built the legendary reputation that KQ Speedie Lube 2 is known for today.


After years of hard work and dedication to taking care of the community, Mr. Lewis wanted to pass the shop on to someone he could trust to continue providing the same friendly, expert services without appointments or long waits. That’s where we, Richie and Kanani, come in.

New ownership

We were trusted by Mr. Lewis to keep taking excellent care of the Kauai people. We both worked for Marriott International for 15 years, gaining a sense of pride in exceptional customer service while working for a great company, but we wanted to be able to spend more time with our 6 children. 


Now, we own and operate KQ Speedie Lube 2 in our hometown of Lihue, with the same staff, and the same great service.
