Bank of Sun Prairie and Sun Prairie East High School started its EverFi: Financial Literacy for High Schools program last week to give students the tools they need to make smart money choices. Teachers discussed budgeting, saving for college, and the positives and negatives of credit card debt. Sun Prairie East High School Business Teacher Joel Coyne said these lessons are critical and students are asking how they can be better financially prepared after high school. Joel added this program gives them the foundation they need to start preparing to live on their own. The EverFi courses are provided by Bank of Sun Prairie as a part of its commitment to providing financial education to the community. Bank of Sun Prairie also provides financial education courses at no-charge to the public through its Financial Fitness Center, which has more than 50 online courses and 17 in-person lessons.
