In Minnesota, Blue Cross has more than 110,000 members enrolled through the Federal Employee Program (FEP), which has been in place since 1960. The quality of service we provide to Minnesota-based federal employees has been repeatedly recognized by the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association as being among the very best in the nation. We are honored to participate in the program and thank all federal employees for all of the critical work they do as dedicated civil servants.

Our recent survey on the state of Black maternal health in Minnesota revealed that more than half of respondents feel discriminated against, based on their race or ethnicity. As part of the Blue Cross commitment to help combat inequities in all areas of health, we are investing in culturally concordant care and supporting positive change throughout the maternal care system.

Blue Cross welcomes Christopher Boles to the organization as vice president of Medicare and Individual segments and Melissa Flicek as chief information officer. Tom tabled for the Men Matter Too group for the Breast Cancer Gaps Project, an initiative we proudly support to help reduce inequity in breast cancer screenings, diagnosis and treatment for Black women and women of color.
