This week, our Superior Refinery received the Bulldog Cornerstone Award from the University of Minnesota Duluth's (UMD) Athletics Department. The award recognizes a business that has gone above and beyond to support UMD Athletics. In 2023, the refinery sponsored the UMD Football and Men’s and Women’s Hockey Military Appreciation events, supported fan experiences, and provided a $25,000 grant to Sophie’s Squad, which is helping to bring more mental health services to Northern Minnesota and Wisconsin.

HackerGal recently spoke with Cenovus’s Etleva Shehu, to hear about her journey and her advice to women entering the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).   We’re partnering with HackerGal on its mission to empower more girls and underrepresented groups across Canada to become future STEM leaders.   Read more about Etleva’s journey below:
