May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month! Established in 1992, this month honors the generations of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders who have enriched American society, culture, and history. The 2024 theme, "Advancing Leaders Through Innovation," celebrates the AAPI leaders who shaped our past and continue to inspire our future. Their innovation, resilience, and pioneering spirit have broken barriers and driven progress in our society and culture. For the past week, Jewish people worldwide have been celebrating the holiday of Passover. On the first night of Passover, the Seder, a meal where food such as herbs, nuts, and lamb are used as symbols of Jewish history, is held. Four cups of wine are drunk to symbolize freedom, while matzah (unleavened bread) is eaten as a sign of redemption. The holiday is a period meant to celebrate Jewish history with reflection, gratitude, and renewal. For everyone who celebrated, we hope you had a peaceful and happy Passover! #LifeAtCF #CFBetterTogether

As part of our Earth Day celebrations earlier this week, our Northbrook office partnered with the Forest Preserves of Cook County to perform an Ecological Restoration project. Our volunteers removed invasive plants like buckthorn and honeysuckle and dense overgrowth in the forest preserves. This process lets light return to the forest floor, allowing grasses, sedges, and wildflowers to return to their natural environment. Thank you to all who participated, and check out our photos from the event! #LifeAtCFIndustries #CFBetterTogether #EarthDay

Construction is underway at the site of the carbon dioxide dehydration and compression unit at our Donaldsonville Complex, a critical step forward for our landmark decarbonization project. Once operational, the unit will enable up to 2 million tons of carbon dioxide each year to be transported and permanently sequestered deep underground by our partner ExxonMobil rather than be emitted to the atmosphere. Start-up for the project is scheduled for 2025.
