Brantford City Hall will be illuminated in blue today, May 14, to recognize Apraxia Awareness Day to raise awareness of this challenging speech disorder that affects nearly 1 in 1,000 children. Children with apraxia of speech will not learn to speak without frequent, intensive and appropriate speech therapy. Our highest respect goes to children with childhood apraxia of speech, and to their families for their effort, determination and resilience in the face of obstacles.
