The Cambie Corridor is expected to have 50,000 new residents by 2040. That many people could mean an extra 25 million liters of sewage in our system per day!🤯 We’re exploring ways to improve Columbia Park, Alberta Street, and 43rd Avenue while improving the area’s sewer and drainage services. Based on community feedback, the new concept design for the Alberta Street Blue Green System and Columbia Park Renewal Project will provide: ✅Updated amenities and more access to nature in Columbia Park. ✅New active transportation options for walking, biking and rolling. ✅A park-like street that connects people and urban wildlife with nature between Queen Elizabeth Park and Columbia Park. ✅Improved rainwater management for a safer neighbourhood that supports nature.
