Country Club Rehabilitation Campus

Yesterday, our Delaware residents crafted passports as part of our ongoing travelog activity series. Each week, they will embark on a virtual journey by watching videos on YouTube about diverse destinations worldwide. After each virtual trip, they will commemorate their "visit" by stamping their passports with the location's name and engaging in discussions about what captivated them about the place. This novel activity was met with great enthusiasm, as everyone relished the opportunity to personalize their passports with their own photos and eagerly anticipate the next destination they will explore virtually.

This week, our Newton Falls Community Liaison, Kaylen Barringer, hosted a captivating Sip and Paint painting class at the Warren Senior Center. The participants enthusiastically painted a vibrant spring-themed flower pot, leaving them thrilled with their artistic creations. These classes serve a dual purpose, offering a delightful activity for community seniors while also introducing them to our diverse range of services, including rehabilitation therapy, long-term care, and assisted living apartments.

Yesterday afternoon, the residents of our Mt. Vernon campus were treated to a delightful musical performance by Granny Creek. The band, a talented four-piece ukulele ensemble, plays everything from country and bluegrass to rock and roll. Our residents have had the pleasure of enjoying their upbeat sound and engaging music for the past four years. Granny Creek's performances are a beloved tradition, and their unique blend of talent and enthusiasm always bring joy to our community.

We are thrilled to welcome our new Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, Katie Taylor, to our Mt. Vernon campus. Katie joined our team last week and brings with her a wealth of experience. Yesterday, a retirement party was held at our Mount Vernon campus to honor their Administrator, Tracy Head. With nine years of dedicated service as the administrator, Tracy has left an indelible mark on the campus. She will be deeply missed by both her staff and the residents. Tracy, we wish you congratulations on a well-deserved retirement! Your dedication, hard work, and positive energy have made a lasting impact on all of us. Yesterday, a monthly awards ceremony took place at our Ashtabula campus. The event aimed to honor and appreciate the dedicated staff who consistently go above and beyond. With the theme of "Baseball," the atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm. Attendees indulged in delicious grilled hotdogs, Crackerjacks, and root beer floats, adding to the celebratory ambiance. Congratulations are in order for Mary Fletcher, who won the award for embodying the theme with her exceptional outfit choice.

Yesterday's morning activity at our Delaware campus was creating stunning faux flower arrangements. This project had been executed in phases throughout the past week. Our residents eagerly looked forward to this week's assembly of the flowers, enthusiastically pouring their creativity into making these magnificent arrangements. Once completed, these beautiful creations will adorn the residents' rooms and various areas of the campus, bringing a vibrant and cheerful touch to their living spaces.
