“We all care deeply about the safety of our employees and our operations, and want every single worker to return home each day to their loved ones safe, healthy and injury-free.” 🙌 ➡️ Have a safety tip? Share it in the comments. #Safety #Leadership #StrongerTogether
I had the opportunity today to present our quarterly business updates to employees from our Paper Excellence group companies in North America alongside Richard Tremblay, president of the pulp and tissue business unit, and Maxime Langlais, who presented the wood products business unit updates on behalf of Hugues Simon. We shared outlooks for each of our business units, and emphasized the importance of working safely. We all care deeply about the safety of our employees and our operations, and want every single worker to return home each day to their loved ones safe, healthy and injury-free. I also was honored to lead the recognition of 29 employees who are celebrating 45 and 50 years of service in 2024, including Paul Horsley from my old mill (Hawesville, KY). Paul is currently our longest-tenured employee with 55 years of service! 👏 Our people are some of the best in the industry, and I truly appreciated their attention and engagement. More than 1,600 employees joined us for the two town hall webinars, and we had another 150+ in the room with us in Montreal. As Domtar, Resolute Forest Products and Paper Excellence continue becoming stronger together as one company, my fellow leaders and I are encouraged by this participation and look forward to sharing our progress again soon.

Two facts for #EarthDay: 🌲 60,000 trees planted on 140 acres of commercial #forestland can sequester millions of pounds of CO2 over their lifecycle. 🙌 We recently planted 60,000 trees in honor of the people who attended the 2023 #PRINTINGUnitedExpo, in partnership with PRINTING United Alliance and local #foresters in Arkansas. ➡️ Find out more about this and other benefits of this recent tree-planting initiative on our newsroom: https://ow.ly/TWCv50RljN8 #Sustainability #SustainableForestry #Papermaking

Our Ashdown Mill marks another #FeelGoodFriday by partnering with Ash Grove Cement Co. to donate a book vending machine to Oscar Hamilton Elementary School. 🖐️📖 This is the third book vending machine the mill has donated to local schools. Other machines are available to students at Ashdown Elementary and Ashdown Junior High School. Great work, Ashdown team! Thanks for sharing our love of reading by making this investment in your local community.

Check out this #FeelGoodFriday content from Kingsport! Thanks for sharing, Ellie Southern.
Feel Good Friday 🙂 Domtar’s Kingsport Packaging Mill donated $1,600 to Volunteer High School to help Ms. Woods remodel her classroom. Who is doing the work? Volunteer’s shop class! During the remodel, students will obtain their OSHA training & certification. Does it get better? Yes, it does! Ms. Woods is the daughter of Troy Christian, a Mechanical Journeyman at the Kingsport Mill. Shout out to Troy for 15+ years of service to our mill. Thank you to Troy for allowing us to support his daughter, our educators, and the local students who will be completing the project! 👏 We will be sharing the final results in a future post. Stay tuned! #Domtar #kingsport #supportteachers

#EarthDay 🌎 reminder!
This #EarthMonth, reflect on how your everyday choices affect our planet. When you choose paper products, you are helping to nourish our forests because the paper industry contributes to planting nearly double amount of the wood that is harvest every year. http://hluf.us/aO4N50Re7Ks
