Through her dedication, tenacity, advocacy, and partnership-building, she has surpassed expectations to forge a partnership with Early Birds & Night Owls Child Care, which will offer 24/7 childcare! As we continue to celebrate National Nurses Week, we want to introduce you to Gabe, an LPN at Ecumen. Gabe shared with us a little bit about his journey to become a nurse. He shared that his family played a vital role in him becoming a nurse. They motivated him to help others while making a positive impact in his community here and back home in Africa. He personally enjoys working together as a team to make the work load a bit less stressful and ensuring that each resident receives the best care possible. His advice for new nurses or those considering the nursing field: -Always assume the best intentions. -Find a mentor with experience in nursing who can guide you through choosing your field or profession. -Remember that being a nurse is a rewarding profession and your dedication to your profession is paramount. -Always remain curious and keep asking questions. -Build a network of experience around your circle of friends. We are so grateful for their selflessness when it comes to putting our residents and patients first. Meet Danielle! She is our Assistant Clinical Director at Ecumen Seasons at Maplewood. She started as a Resident Assistant and felt a calling while doing that work. She wanted to be someone that could provide compassionate care. She loves forming relationships and hearing all the stories and wisdom from those we serve! Her advice to new nurses or those considering the field? "If you want to become a nurse, do it! It will be hard but when schooling is complete it is a great accomplishment, and you have the opportunity to impact so many!" Yesterday we celebrated the grand opening of Ecumen-managed living spaces, The Eloise at Wirth on the Woods and The Theodore at Wirth on the Woods. In partnership with Lupe Development Partners LLC, we celebrated the residents who call us home with the greater Bryn Mawr community. A special thank you to the Bryn Mawr Elementary School and Anwatin Middle School for taking part in our celebration! The ribbon-cutting event occurred alongside a gathering of second graders from the local elementary school, right in front of the classroom that was constructed for the Minneapolis Nature Preschool. The grand opening was filled with abundant smiles, lots of delicious ice cream, and numerous reasons to celebrate. #EcumenProud
