Essentia Health began its journey to value-based care in 2005. Almost 20 years later, we continue to be recognized by our peers across the country for the success we’ve experienced with the model. "We provide very high-quality care. We take great care of our communities and our patients," explains Essentia's Mary D. Strasser, senior vice president of population health. "You wouldn’t embark on this type of journey and take risks if you weren’t confident in your ability to serve your patients and communities."

Essentia Health is honored to have hosted Wisconsin’s Lieutenant Governor Sara Rodriguez in Superior Friday. “As the chair of the Health Care Workforce Task Force, I’ve been traveling all around the state of Wisconsin and talking to different health care systems and trying to understand what the challenges are and if they have any solutions that they’re using to make sure that they can attract (and) retain the health care workforce here,” says Lt. Gov. Rodriguez, who has a clinical background in public health. “And Essentia Health has a lot of great things that they’re working on. And being able to cross-pollinate some of those ideas across the state, I think, is going to be really interesting for the task force to be able to move forward.” WDIO: https://ow.ly/rlns50RwnVY Superior Telegram: https://ow.ly/WMtQ50RwnVT Northern News Now: https://ow.ly/GurV50RwnVW
