It's National Caregivers Day! Today marks a day of heartfelt appreciation for the unsung heroes among us: CAREGIVERS. These compassionate individuals dedicate their lives to selflessly caring for others. If you are a family caregiver, we invite you to join our HCS Caregiver Support Group for information and connection with others! This ongoing support opportunity is for those caring for a person with any chronic illness, including dementia. Emotional support and possible solutions to concerns are shared. Supporting the Monadnock United Way annual campaign helps support organizations and collaboratives all around the region. Healthy Starts at HCS is proud to be part of the Monadnock Alliance for Families, along with The Grapevine Family & Community Resource Center, Monadnock Family Services, Rise for baby and family, and The River Center - funded through MUW. Together we provide home visits, parent education, and enriched engagement programs for local children and families. Last night, President & CEO Maura McQueeney and Director of Philanthropy Sareen Sarna were grateful to receive a generous check from the M&T Bank. Maura said "You may not know HCS, but we know you know Hospice, Home Health, Meals on Wheels, Kinship Navigator, and the City Express Programs." It was a lovely evening and we are thankful for M&T's support!

Are you interested in public transportation in Keene? The City Express is making changes to the route, adding Cheshire Medical Center’s Primary Care Clinic on Maple Avenue, Kohl's Plaza, and all stops will receive service every hour. The Monadnock Marketplace stop will be discontinued due to low ridership. If you have comments or would like more information, come to the public hearing on Wednesday, December 13 at 9:30AM at the HCS office at 312 Marlboro Street in Keene.
