Happy Arbor Day! Hensel Phelps celebrates Arbor Day by highlighting some of our team’s efforts in planting trees across the country. Whether it’s on our jobsites or in our local communities, Hensel Phelps supports the mission to promote reforestation and urban forestry to solve issues of climate change and biodiversity. To prepare for #VulcanRocket’s first launch, modifications at SLC-41 were completed including: a liquid natural gas farm, increased fuel and oxidizer storage capacity and an increased acoustic water suppression system capacity. In addition, the Vertical Integration Facility-1 (VIF-1) platforms, decks and crane to accommodate all #AtlasV and Vulcan configurations were upgraded. Further infrastructure modifications are currently underway to establish Lane 2, a second launch processing capability through an additional Vulcan Launch Platform (VLP-2) and Vertical Integration Facility (VIF-2) featuring integrated and enhanced Offline Vertical Integration (OVI) capability. Lane 2 will allow for dual, simultaneous launch processing between both integration facilities – a key enabler to support the higher launch rate cadence we need for Amazon’s Project Kuiper and other customers.

The two-day seminar featured topics on modernizing the mission of WNet, personal empowerment and panels on mentorship and navigating the superintendent role as a female.
