This calls for big celebration! Congratulations, Lina, from all of us at Literacy Lambton. High five to our partners in adult education, Lambton Kent District School Board's Adult Continuing Education Centre and their dedicated team who help adults upgrade their high school credits and work towards achieving their O.S.S.D. Thank you Sarnia Observer's Paul Morden for capturing and sharing Lina's incredible story of accomplishment. https://lnkd.in/gjNS-9Zt #sarnialambton #adultedu #LiteracyON #lifelonglearning #nevertoolate

Time to find new funders for the Baby Bookworms 2025 project. The Zone 1 Egg Farmers of Ontario has started us off! Pictured here: Area egg farmer, Diana Schenk (left) and her husband, William (not pictured) presenting a cheque to Literacy Lambton Executive Director, Tracy. Between 1,100-1,200 Lambton County babies are born each year at Bluewater Health. The Baby Bookworms project sees that each and every baby is greeted by a literacy welcome waiting in their hospital crib. Each handmade tote bag is filled with books, a 1000 Books Before Kindergarten keepsake log, and connections to area programs and services new parents need to know. Interested in donating to Baby Bookworms? Donations- including tax receipts for $20+- can be made online at https://lnkd.in/g39KraiB Are you a business interested in sponsorship? Let’s connect! Congratulations to all award recipients. Near and dear to our organization is Book Keeper owner, Susan Chamberlain. Susan is a longtime champion of Literacy Lambton as well as many other local charities. As mentioned in this post she organized Showcase Literacy with Peter Mansbridge, with proceeds supporting Literacy Lambton. She and her team are longstanding partners of the Give-a-Book holiday campaign. She stepped up to support the 2024 Baby Bookworms project donating thousands of dollars in books to welcome Sarnia-Lambton’s new babies. Arguably, this amazing human is a woman of excellence and a pillar of greatness for our community. https://lnkd.in/gG6bthZR #sarnialambton
