Last week, two members of Mid Minnesota's Young Professionals Group were able to attend Minnesota Credit Unions Annual Conference #Accelerate24. Today, Mid Minnesota Federal Credit Union hosted Mad City Money for area high school students. Mad City Money is a hands-on simulation that gives youth a taste of the real world that comes with a career, salary, spouse, student loan debt, credit card debt, and medical insurance payments. Participants learn how to build a budget of wants versus needs and gain a new perspective on their choices with money. Special thanks to The Fergus Falls Public School for their partnership and our local volunteers from: Dandelion & Burdock, Fergus Falls Area College Foundation - Mstate, Otter Tail County, Romeo (The Therapy Dog), Ryan Hanson Homes, Quality Toyota, and West Central Initiative.
