  • Child welfare, child protection and affiliated professionals are invited to attend a free one-day conference on Friday, May 17, in Owatonna. “Kin First Culture: Taking it to the Next Level” will feature Denise Goodman, PhD, and Maureen Heffernan, MSW, both nationally known speakers in the areas of foster, adoption and kinship care. A panel of caregivers, parents and foster care alumni will also share their lived experience. The conference is open to professionals from across the state and Tribal Nations.
