  • Did you know that feline’s perching or hiding is not just a quirk of their personality? It’s essential for their well-being and comfort! At the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society, thanks to a Pet Valu Companions for Change™ sponsorship, all cats in our care have their own cat cabins. These cozy spaces cater to their natural behaviours and also help to ease their transition into new homes. Learn more on our blog! Find it here: https://bit.ly/3JO17iv

  • The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society and the Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs want to remind you to have an emergency preparedness plan in place that includes your furry family members. Ask about your municipality’s evacuation centre locations and pet policies relating to evacuation. Contact hotels and motels outside your immediate area and check their policy on accepting pets during an emergency. Also ask friends and relatives outside your immediate area if they could shelter your pets during an emergency. By having the necessary supplies to shelter in place, and a plan to evacuate with your pets, you’ll be prepared for the unexpected. Promise to Prepare today and receive our free digital 72-hour Emergency Preparedness Workbook outlining everything you need to include when assembling your pet’s survival kit. PLUS, you’ll be entered in a draw to win a pet first aid kit: https://lnkd.in/dj_PaUPi
