Summer is almost here, which means it’s time to enjoy water activities again! Our friends at Ren's Pets want to ensure you’re ready for the warmer weather. If you’re planning on enjoying the water with your dog, invest in a life-jacket. Even good swimmers can tire easily in rough water and will benefit from a life vest to help keep them safe. Yesterday, the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society hosted a one-day wellness clinic at the Humane Society of Durham Region, offering vaccinations and microchip services for animals by appointment. Our goal is to reach pet parents in the region who might not otherwise have been able to access this care. With these portable outreach events, which can be easily packed up and transported to wherever they are needed, we are able to reach underserved communities. As a registered that relies on the generosity of its donors, your support helps make these community support services possible! Learn more or donate at https://lnkd.in/g_E-MhjD

Did you know that feline’s perching or hiding is not just a quirk of their personality? It’s essential for their well-being and comfort! At the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society, thanks to a Pet Valu Companions for Change™ sponsorship, all cats in our care have their own cat cabins. These cozy spaces cater to their natural behaviours and also help to ease their transition into new homes. Learn more on our blog! Find it here: https://bit.ly/3JO17iv
