It was a great “pep rally” for the boys as they hit the road to the Centennial Cup in Oakville. Special thanks to the honourable Minister of Long Term Care Stan Cho for meeting the players and staff and to Mayor Paul Lefebvre for attending. Special thanks to Police Chief Paul Pedersen for wearing his Cubs jersey and arranging a police escort for the team bus. Much appreciation to Councillors Deb McIntosh, Natalie Labbee, Pauline Fortin and Mark Signoretti for being there for the boys. Loved the number of families and friends and billet families that were able to attend. Thank you Greater Sudbury. The Cubs will be playing for you in the national championships starting Friday! #gocubsgo #communitypride. #centennialcup

The Cubs can capture their first NOJHL title since 2008 and advance to the Centennial Cup national championship for the first time since 1991. WE ARE HEADING HOME WITH A 3-1 SERIES LEAD!!! BIG GAME ON THURSDAY! #CubsCountry #BearDown

Game #3 highlights as the Cubs win 5-0 in North Bay. Cubs lead the best of seven series 2-1. Cubs Noah Metivier was first star with a 47 save performance to lead the Cubs. The Cubs were missing a number of veterans including Captain Oliver Smith who was assessed a two-game suspension as a result of an Voodoo appeal on a hit from game #1 in the series. The loss of their captain fired-up the boys even more. Game #5 in Sudbury on Thursday. 7 pm. Video credit: Sam Hossack Media.
