What do you know about the unique habitats and species that exist in the Southwest Sandhills of Saskatchewan? This natural area provides habitat for 39 species at risk, including the burrowing owl, monarch butterfly and Ord’s kangaroo rat. We’ve worked with Nature Conservancy of Canada/Conservation de la nature Canada (NCC) for more than 25 years and are proud to support its conservation efforts in the Southwest Sandhills. As part of our commitment, our Community Engagement team created a vibrant activity sheet to help students learn about the amazing biodiversity found in the area. We were delighted to be hosted by Mosaic yesterday and to learn about potash production first hand.
We were pleased to host members of @saskenergy’s leadership team for a tour at our Belle Plaine facility yesterday. Natural gas is an essential input in making #potash at the world’s largest potash solution mine, and we appreciate having the opportunity to demonstrate what our team does to help the world grow the food it needs – with their help. #Sask #Saskatchewan #WeAreMosaic

On Monday, Mark Guillet, K.C. our President and CEO signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Guy Lonechild CEO of First Nations Power Authority (FNPA) at the First Nations University of Canada. "Today is a great day to gather and show how important it is that we come together to acknowledge our shared vision for reliable and sustainable energy security for First Nation communities as well as for Indigenous economic reconciliation," said Mark. We are grateful to everyone who participated. The MOU will provide a framework to explore sustainable energy security solutions for non-gasified First Nations communities and to increase Indigenous economic participation through cleaner energy initiatives.
