Check out out the links! https://lnkd.in/gxnGMriX YPI Achievement Center Clinician – SBCS’s Achievement Center, located in Downtown San Diego, is a safe and youth friendly day community center providing trauma informed, positive youth development services to youth (Ages 12 -18) currently on probation supervision or at-risk of entering the justice system (i.e., who live in the community or are involved with the Child Welfare System). The Achievement Center allows youth and their families to receive treatment and services in the community, including case management, restorative practices, and evidence-based programming. The goal is support youth in achieving their probation goals, avoid detention, and make positive choices. https://lnkd.in/gfAZ48xv YPI Casa Nuestra Clinician – SBCS’s Casa Nuestra is the emergency housing component of a continuum of existing prevention and intervention services. Casa Nuestra will be available to youth who have either been arrested and/or referred to San Diego County’s Alternatives to Detention (ATD) or the Community Assessment Team or Juvenile Diversion (CAT/JD), as well as homeless youth referred by community entities (e.g., churches, schools) or youth on Probation (Ward). https://lnkd.in/gpnzYaB8

The children we work with are affected by domestic violence, abuse, trauma and/or emotional, behavioral, or developmental challenges. Just a few days ago, SBCS and community members celebrated one of the most unique, grassroots holidays in our region— Neighbor Day— a day when neighbors come together to get to know each other and break down barriers. Thanks to @supnoravargas the day was officially proclaimed Neighbor Day in San Diego County! Families enjoyed breakfast with pancakes flipped by @ChulaVistaPD and @ChulaVistaFD, vibrant performances by mariachi musicians and Folklorico dancers from Castle Park High School, activities for kids and families, and honors presented by @MayorJohnMcCann from @thinkchulavista. This Neighbor Day SBCS honored the 10-year anniversary of the Chula Vista Promise Neighborhood program, a decade of successful investment in the Castle Park neighborhood’s children, youth, and families. Thanks to Guillermo Castillo from @repjuanvargas 's office, Sylvia Mendez, RLA President, and Jayden Cuellar, CV Promise Neighborhood youth advocate, for sharing words of celebration and dedication to our community’s continued enhancement.
