“I want Shell to be a place where we stand against all forms of racial discrimination, harassment and hate. One of the biggest things we can all do to create a more inclusive society is to be mindful about how we think about and treat each other.” (Lyn Lee, Shell’s Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer).
A number of pivotal moments in recent years, which have impacted so many groups, have illustrated the need to take action. On the UN’s International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, we pause to reflect on our ambition to become one of the most diverse and inclusive organisations in the world and what more we can do as an organisation. It is not just about today, but how we show up every day.
Race and ethnicity is one of Shell’s priority DE&I areas and our work to increase inclusion and remove potential barriers takes many forms. From striving to ensure our people better reflect the communities we serve, to talent and mentoring programmes.
