Earlier this month, we celebrated our strongest performers in Sales and Financial Services (ACES), Construction (ROCKSTARS) and Warranty (HEROs) at our National Awards Ceremony. Despite volatile market conditions and consumer skepticism last year, our Community Sales Managers found a way to sell. Through it all, and alongside our Financial Services teams, they offered peace of mind and eased customers into homeownership, leveraging our tools, tapping into their creative sides and leading with empathy. Our Houston Division is working to create more affordable housing in Cypress, TX.   “[Interest rates] have shot up in the last 18 months, and affordability has been more and more of a challenge—and Houston is still one of the most affordable large metro areas in the country. Our Atlanta Land Planning and Development Manager, Myles Cardenas, is determined to bring young talent into the homebuilding industry. With a passion for mentorship, and through leadership positions with the National Home Builders Association (NHBA) and Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (HBA), Myles volunteers his time helping students navigate their careers. Recently, Myles connected Taylor Morrison with the Lawrenceville branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and introduced a nine-week immersive program to inspire and educate the next generation of homebuilders. Throughout the program, students had the unique opportunity to learn directly from Taylor Morrison's vendors about various aspects of construction, including grading, site preparation, framing, and more. Racing legend and Adobe Road Winery owner, Kevin Buckler and winemaker Garrett Martin gathered with members at Esplanade communities throughout Florida this past month for a Fine Wine and Fast Cars event. During the event, Kevin and Garrett presented “The Racing Series," a lineup of four ultra-premium red wine blends. Members explored the pop-up racing paddock, sampled award-winning wines, and had the option to get a signature and picture with the legend himself—right next to his 007 Aston Martin race car! #ThisisTMLiving

Our Denver Reserve at Looking Glass team recently left a thoughtful housewarming gift for our buyers. Superintendent II Christian Geist collected signatures on a hardhat from the Taylor Morrison team members and trades that worked on the buyer's home. He also included a couple of toy trucks, plus some TM merch to add to the haul. The Community First! Village in Austin, TX—of which we partnered with Mobile Loaves & Fishes and HomeAid Austin to help build—recently opened a new community greenhouse with the help of our Austin Division. This greenhouse provides jobs for residents with disabilities who are paid to tend to crops.   For some background, the village provides permanent housing for the chronically homeless.
