About us

The Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands is an international playground of unrivaled natural beauty - from the rugged and picturesque Frontenac Axis linking the Canadian Shield to New York's Adirondack Mountains to the world renowned Thousand Islands. The Thousand Islands International Bridge has linked Ontario to New York State across the mighty St. Lawrence River for the past 75 years. Canada's capital, Ottawa, is just 90 minutes to the north and Canada's financial centre, Toronto, is just 3.5 hours to the west. In our historic villages, such as Lansdowne, Lyndhurst, Rockport, Ivy Lea and Seeley's Bay, you will find unique shops and boutiques, great places to eat and various festivals and events throughout the year. Leeds and the Thousand Islands offers the perfect balance of heritage, cultural arts, services, outdoor activities and contemporary lifestyles and is an excellent destination any time of the year.
