🎉Fifteen years after it opened its doors, The Springs at Tanasbourne in Hillsboro, Oregon still has it! Yesterday, we celebrated a milestone anniversary of the community and the experienced, dedicated team that makes it home to more than 250 Hillsboro residents. Designed to prompt socializing among residents, this beautiful community is in the center of the action near a variety of shops, parks, and restaurants. It raised the bar for other communities in design and, more importantly, in delivering quality service. It's no surprise that the readers of the Hillsboro Tribune voted The Springs at Tanasbourne the Best Retirement Community in 2023. We're grateful to be part of this desirable neighborhood. The Springs Living's Art of Delicious philosophy is all about bringing people together over delectable food. For those who want to get a more up-close experience into how that works, we have occasional chef's demonstrations. The talented Lisa Cummings, pastry chef at The Springs at Lake Oswego in Oregon, recently drew a large crowd in the community's demonstration kitchen. 🐾🐾On this National Pet Day, we want to celebrate our furry residents at The Springs Living. Many are unofficial greeters, and many, like Sparky at The Springs at Sunnyview in Salem, Oregon, enjoy a lot of love and attention from others in the community. Others are busy taking walks outside on neighboring paths or in our community gardens. Seeking opportunities for continuous learning and leadership development, The Springs Living recently debuted a two-day training for resident services coordinators and memory care coordinators in Montana at The Springs at Butte. Building off an already robust toolkit of resources available to them, teams delved into clinical compliance and processes, while also focusing on improved service and leadership development. If we want leaders to continue to grow, we need to be intentional in the ways we provide them support, so they can be intentional in how they lead health services teams and serve the residents. We look forward to expanding this to more Springs Living communities, supporting health services managers in their professional development so they can better help team members while also providing the highest quality service and compassionate care to the older adults we are privileged to have in our communities. #training #seniorliving #montana #healthcarejobs

Last month, The Springs Living kicked off the Server Skills Fair at The Springs at Tanasbourne in Hillsboro. The Training & Development team collaborated with culinary leaders from the community and Home Office to create a hands-on curriculum to help servers refresh their skills and knowledge. The interactive learning environment addressed the five steps of service: greet, beverage, order, service, and dessert/conclusion. While we provide ample training to dining staff already, we anticipate this additional program will allow for more consistent quality service to residents every day.    #skillstraining #culinaryskills #seniorliving #teamsprings #quality

The Springs at Anna Maria in Medford, Oregon, hosted a Japanese Spring Festival last week, featuring traditional tea, origami and calligraphy demonstrations, the art of the kimono presentation, and a performance from Elbow Room Taiko drummers. A silent auction benefited the JAPANESE ASSOCIATION OF SOUTHERN OREGON and the Ashland Japanese Garden. What a beautiful display of how a community comes together for an educational program and a worthy cause. #seniorliving #givingback #spring

The Springs at Tanasbourne has been awarded the gold medal for Best Independent Living and Best Assisted Living community by the Hillsboro News Times for the Hillsboro's Best 2023 competition. This recognition can only be accomplished when there's a winning formula of exceptional staff, solid leadership, and happy residents.
