  • Have you heard about our Best Friends Approach to Dementia Care? Inspired by Virginia Bell and David Troxel, the Best Friends (BFF) Approach seeks to enhance the lives of those living with Alzheimer’s and dementia by providing them with best friends that: -Recognize the basic rights of a person with dementia. -Understanding what it’s like to have dementia. -Know and use the person’s Life Story. -Know just what to say when communication is breaking down. -Develop the ‘knack’ of great dementia care. -Experience meaningful engagement throughout the day. -Recast the relationship and their language from staff to best friend. • Are you noticing a theme in our posts recently? We've got another wonderful leadership growth story to share....this time spotlighting one of our newly appointed Executive Directors, Keith Wilson. Keith first joined Trilogy as an Administrator at our Springhurst campus in Greenfield, IN. When the Executive Director role became available, it was an easy decision to move him into the position. In addition to Keith's broad industry knowledge and strong relationships with residents and staff, he is passionate about developing others and helping them to realize their full potential. Join us in celebrating Keith's fantastic journey at Trilogy!

Alicia is known for building strong teams, mentoring others, and running a tight ship operationally. • Growing our own has always been a focus at Trilogy. Today, we’re happy to share that Anthony Wilson is being promoted to Divisional Vice President of the Central Ohio Division effective May 6. Anthony first joined Trilogy 12 years ago and grew up through the organization, assuming broader and higher levels of responsibility over time. In addition to being a highly successful Executive Director himself, he mentored several Administrators In Training and Executive Directors and stands out for his ability to grow those around him. Anthony is vested in Trilogy and the feeling is mutual. Please help us congratulate Anthony on this fantastic achievement!

  • “There are direct correlations to levels of engagement to residents that could either delay or prolong the effects of memory loss.” The National Institute of Health tells us that feeling a sense of purpose can lead to happier, healthier minds. That’s why our Memory Care experience has been designed to provide our Alzheimer’s residents with opportunities for adventure every day – with services that include: -Daily Rhythms programming that provides residents with consistent schedules -Our BFF Approach, where staff members are committed to learning everything there is to know about the resident’s likes, dislikes, and life story -Resident planning committees -Community outings -and more Want to learn more? • Did you know that social activity can possibly delay the onset of dementia? That’s according to The Alzheimer’s Association – and at Trilogy, it’s what we’ve chosen to embrace with our latest approach to Memory Care. Coined in the early 1900s by Italian physician Maria Montessori, The Montessori Method is an education practice that fosters rigorous, self-motivated growth in all areas of development, including: -Cognitive -Social -Emotional -Physical Montessori prioritizes giving its participants complete control – letting them lead the way on projects, events, and lessons vs. being handheld by their educators.
