OHCOW is pleased to announce the release of our FREE Office Ergonomics Calculator for iOS and Android. By using data from either the Anthro Calculator or gathered manually, the Office Ergonomics Calculator was designed to highlight areas of improvement between workers and their office equipment. The Office Ergonomics Calculator is not an ergonomic assessment, but rather a tool to indicate areas where improvement may be warranted needed. iOS https://lnkd.in/gq7tGj-M Android https://lnkd.in/gPd8e3Ae

IHSA is launching our first Struck-by Awareness Week from April 15 to 19, 2024. Ontario’s prevention system uses the term “struck-by” to describe the various injuries that occur when workers are hit—or struck—by tools, materials, equipment, or vehicles. Just like falls, struck-by incidents are a leading cause of injury in the construction, transportation, and electrical utilities industries. Each day of the week will focus on a different topic related to struck-bys: • Work zone safety • Heavy equipment and storage of material • Falling/dropping objects • Mobile device distractions Learn how you can participate in IHSA’s Struck-by Awareness Week and prevent struck-by incidents: https://ow.ly/nX4M50R6KSt

Have you had a chance to explore the new Opioids and Work Data Tool? We want to hear from you! The information you provide in this survey will help to ensure the tool is useful and impactful for addressing opioid-related harms among the working population.
